Due to the pandemic we had to restructure our wedding, which included needing to find an officiant in NYC. We interviewed with a few individuals but upon first speaking with Peter, we were instantly sold, and could not have been happier with the decision! He took the time to get to know us, and checked in with us a few times to ensure the ceremony was exactly how we wanted it to be. On the day of the wedding, he was professional, knowledgeable, personable, funny, poised, and genuine. Both my partner and I were nothing but impressed, and so were our guests apparently, since every single one later questioned who he was as they thought he was perfect. If you are looking for an officiant in the NYC-area, please, we cannot recommend Peter enough, and I imagine you will be just as impressed, grateful, and moved as us and our guests were. Peter, thank you for making our day just perfect!

Peter was the best officiant I've ever worked with! (This is my second marriage, so that's not a totally strange comment. :) ) Peter responded to my online inquiry within an hour, and was very easy to work with regarding scheduling a time for officiating our ceremony. He has Venmo payments (among others) set up, which makes things super easy and convenient in these funny times. We requested just a license signing ceremony - no traditional wedding speech - but Peter still said some beautiful words to make it feel more special and less business-like, while still keeping things short and simple. We were also surprising our witness, and he asked ahead of time if there was anything he'd like us to do to have him play into the surprise, and then went along with it perfectly. Our witness was surprised and giddy with excitement for the rest of the day, and I fully attribute that to Peter's officiation of our ceremony. He mixed humor and sentimentality together beautifully, and made the day so very special. I will absolutely recommend him to other friends of mine, whether they're getting married over Zoom like we did, at a socially-distanced outdoor wedding, or at a bigger traditional wedding one day when this pandemic is over.
It's also worth mentioning that my laptop was doing something very strange, trying to pipe the sound in and out of my external monitor, and Peter was incredibly patient while I tried to figure that out (thankfully my now-husband had seen this happen before and fixed it when I called him over). Peter kept talking while we figured it out so we'd be able to know when the sound was coming through correctly, and laughed it off with no issue. Is it really a good wedding if *something* didn't go wrong?

When we decided to get married if someone had said "That's wonderful! Why don't you do it on a Zoom call with a total stranger?" I think we probably would've answered with some version of "You should probably see a doctor about that." But that's exactly what we did and the reason it turned out such a day was because the "total stranger" turned out to be Peter Boruchwitz, a joyous, funny yet spiritual celebrant who guided us through our last moments of our lives' "singleness." Needless to say, thanks to him thecrazy world we live in now became far less so thanks to him and we highly recommend him to any couple looking for a similar experience.

Peter delivered such a great message on our special day. We originally “met” Peter over FaceTime because of the pandemic and even though we hadn’t met in person, we knew he was the right choice. We met a few other officiants before but the personalities weren’t a good fit. His turnaround time with emails is amazing and I’ve sent a whole lot!!! It was a very stressful time due to the pandemic but he did his best to ensure us that things will go smoothly. He sent us everything to proof ahead of time and made everything very personal. From the very first e-mail (which he responded to super fast—he’s fantastic with communication!) he just made us feel so comfortable and he was easy to talk to, down to earth, super sincere and very passionate about making sure we had the perfect ceremony.
Peter gave us many options on the different readings and was willing to tweak anything that we might have not liked or wanted worded differently. He is a very good listener and really knows what he’s doing. He’s amazing at what he does and you can really tell he loves making people happy. He made our wedding ceremony so special; it was beautiful and it was like a dream come true. Even our guests loved him and one of our friends even said to my husband, “when I get married one day, I want Peter to be my officiant!”

My wife and I absolutely adored Peter. Despite marrying during a pandemic, Peter made the experience really special for us. He was quick with responding to our inquiries and made himself available in such a short notice, stress and worry free. He was very charming and had us smiling the whole time. One never knows what to expect with making an important and very memorable decision on short notice, BUT I am so very happy we stumbled upon Peter and he becoming the chosen one for us. Even though we chose the simple "I do's" virtual package, it was everything that we had expected, plus more. During this pandemic it was wonderful to see that Gov. Cuomo made it possible for couples wanting to get married to still be able to do so. When we heard, we signed up for a marriage license with Project Cupid. That experience was quick and pretty bland, but I guess thats not really the celebratory part. Once that was done we decided to get married ASAP. After a quick google search we stumbled upon Peter. I can't say enough about how awesome he is. He made our virtual wedding so personal and perfect. I couldn't have hoped for more from a Zoom Wedding or any kind of wedding to be honest. Peter was in short a perfect officiant. We had a really rushed time period for the ceremony, we were trying to get married within a week, during the middle of the pandemic, and we wanted to do it in central park. Peter suggested some fantastic locations, one of which we chose. The location he chose was intimate and private, exactly what we wanted, and he showed up an hour early to hold it for us. He closed off the walk way with a sign that said "wedding in progress", an adorable and thoughtful extra on his part. His professionalism and good nature during the whole ceremony made the day perfectly memorable. Both of our mothers are still talking about how wonderful his speech was, and given the opportunity I would recommend him a thousand times over. There's a ton of bad going on in the world right now, and Peter made our lives that little bit more hopeful. Thank you Peter!

The Covid-19 crisis of our time has had a significant impact on all our lives. With a world at a standstill, that one could never expect at any given moment all things had ceased to exist. Peter was absolutely amazing. Our original wedding plans were hijacked by covid19 but here came Peter to the rescue! With his help we organized and held an online ceremony via zoom in a matter of two days. Our zoom wedding had close to 70 participants and everyone truly had an amazing time.
